The blaze broke out around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at the Mast Market in Mount Kisco located at 92 South Moger Ave., prompting a response from several fire departments in the area.
According to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department, the blaze was quickly upgraded to a three-alarm fire because of the size of the building and the amount of firefighters involved in the response.
After arriving at the scene of the fire, crews worked to get the blaze under control and climbed up to the building's roof to make sure the flames had not spread there.
The blaze was eventually extinguished after around two hours, according to fire officials.
The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department and the Valhalla Fire Department also helped with the response to the fire.
The Mast Market building, which is known for manufacturing its own chocolate, was left blackened as a result of the fire.
